Lithgow City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Accounting Cadet to join their team in Lithgow, NSW.
Reporting to the Finance Manager , you will be required to assist the Finance Department, you will be responsible for assisting the Financial Manager and the Graduate/Accountant to deliver sound financial plans for Council. The position will develop skills associated with all processes involved in Local government financial accounting, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, procurement, inventory, assets, rating and water. The position will assist in the preparation and reporting on financial statements in compliance with legislative requirements, financial assets including regular revaluation of asset classes.
The cadetship will require you to study tertiary qualifications continuously until completion.
To be successful in this role, you will possess all the essential selection criteria and have acquired your Higher School Certificate allowing undergraduate admission through external studies in the Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or similar.
This role requires that the successful applicant hold a current C Class Drivers Licence.
